Arthur and Raymond
Washington D.C.
Arthur is a Lead HR Specialist, and Raymond is a Program Administrator. Arthur (Ed), and Ray own their two bedroom, two and a half bath, two level condominium. They have been together for 14 years, and would love to add one or two new family members. They currently do not have any children of their own, or any living with them. They are interested in either a sibling group or one girl or boy. Since a sibling group would be sharing a bedroom, they would need to be of the same gender (two girls or two boys). Both Ed and Ray have three siblings each and several nephews and nieces, as well as a great niece and two great nephews. Their nieces and nephews range in age from 7 months to 30 years. Extended family is very important to them. Their extended families live in Maine and New Hampshire and Ed and Ray spend a long weekend with them at least every six weeks. Ed and Ray are both long term Federal Government employees, and they have tremendous flexibility in their work schedules. Living close to the capitol provides them – and will provide any children – with many unique opportunities. For instance, they have free access to the Smithsonian museums, embassies and various other cultural activities providing a uniquely international perspective. In their free time, they enjoy visiting the various museums, taking long walks with their two dogs (pugs) Oscar and Sebago in the different neighborhoods and parks, playing board games, going to the movies, taking daytrips, and getting together with their friends. In addition, Ed and Ray regularly attend church and are involved in a church ministry/group which fosters church fellowship and community. Activities include hosting breakfasts, potluck dinners, and retreats. They hope that they will be considered as possible adoptive parents for a sibling group or child needing a home. Ed and Ray say that they are ready!
