Brian (26) is in Education, and Karen (32) is in Education. Brian and Karen live in two story home, in a small community. Right out of the back door is Pekin Child Care Center, which has been commended by the state for years for its excellence, and also Pekin Community School District who has a small student to teacher ratio. Brian’s parents are both educators in the Pekin School District and also live five miles from them. They are a great support system. Brian and Karen both are employed by Fairfield Middle School. This gives them daily access to the Fairfield Schools, as well as the many daycares available in the area. Being educators, they believe strongly in education and strive to help children excel in their abilities. Karen’s mother is employed at Jefferson County Head Start and both of her parents are great support systems. Brian and Karen have a great home environment, and are excited about the possibility of adoption.
Brian and Karen would like to adopt any number, of either male or female children, of any race except Asian, between the ages of 0 to 5. They feel capable of accepting the following conditions: ADD, ADHD, adjustment disorder, AIDS/HIV, anxiety disorder, asthma, attachment disorder, bipolar, conduct disorder, depression, developmental delays, diabetes, drug exposed, eating disorders, mild to severe emotional, encopresis, enuresis, failure to thrive, heart murmur, hyperactivity, learning disability, legal risk, mood disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), physically abused, physically aggressive, PTSD, reactive attachment disorder (RAD), runaway, scoliosis, seizures, sexually abused, shaken baby syndrome, sickle cell, and trach.
