Christopher (52) is an Army Officer and Cheryl (52) is an Attorney. They have two biological sons. They are a very busy family and are involved in lots of activities. Chris and Cheri are very active in their children’s lives. The children generally play a sport throughout the year, such as basketball, baseball, and swimming. Currently, the children are involved in Boy Scouts, 4-H and church. Church activities include Sunday School, Confirmation Class, Vacation Bible School, Kids’ Choir and other youth activities. Chris and Cheri, along with their children try to spend as much time together as possible. They eat dinner together and enjoy having friends and family over for special gatherings. They love to travel around the US and have been overseas. Chris’ military assignments also have allowed the family trips to Germany, Turkey and several trips to England. The Pokorny family is looking forward to adding a daughter and sister to their family and giving her the love and support she needs!
Christopher and Cheryl would like to adopt up to two female children of Asian, Biracial, Caucasian, Hispanic or Native American descent between the ages of 5 to 16. They feel capable of accepting the following conditions:ADD, ADHD, adjustment disorder, anxiety disorder, asthma, attachment disorder, autism, mild cerebral palsy, depression, developmental delays, diabetes, drug exposed, eating disorders, mild to moderate emotional, epilepsy, failure to thrive, fetal alcohol syndrome, heart murmur, hyperactivity, learning disability, mild mental retardation, missing limbs, mood disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), physically abused, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), reactive attachment disorder (RAD), scoliosis, seizures, sexually abused, shaken baby syndrome and spina bifida.
