Jim (47) is an MD, and Jeannine (44) is a Homemaker. They are a very close family with four young children living at home and one daughter (22) in Maryland. Their oldest daughter was killed in a car accident 3 years ago at the age of 19. The children in the home are girls (10, 8, 4) and a boy (6). Their 8 year old daughter was adopted from Guatemala at 2.5. They currently home school the children, which gives them lots of time to learn and grow as a family. As a family, they also participate in community and church activities. The children participate in basketball, soccer, and other activities. Jim and Jeannine have lots of options at home for their active kids! They have 3 1/2 acres with a long driveway for bikes and scooters, a large playset, a pool (covered and gated), a basketball hoop, and wooded paths perfect for mountain biking or exploring. They also live in a very safe neighborhood which will be perfect for long bike rides when the children are old enough. For days when the weather doesn’t cooperate, Jim and Jeannine have a large playroom, exercise equipment and a Wii with a few games that promote physical activity. This is a wonderful, active family that is hoping to expand through adopting again.
Jim and Jeannine would like to adopt up to three, of either male or female children, of Hispanic descent, between the ages of 0 to 9. They feel capable of accepting the following conditions: ADD, ADHD, anxiety disorder, attachment disorder, cerebral palsy mild deaf, depression, developmental delays, drug exposed, mild emotional, enuresis, failure to thrive, heart murmur, hyperactivity, learning disability, legal risk, missing limbs, and physically abused.
