The Lauderdale Family

Meet Marissa Lauderdale! Marissa is a single parent to 3 amazing biological children. Neahnija (age 26), Nikahe (age 21) and Alijah (age 21). They are all living on their own. Marissa also has 4 fabulous boys in which she adopted. Bradley (age 16), Denham (age 7), Kinsley (age 2), and Bentley (7 months). Marissa and her four adopted children currently reside in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. Her children attend one of the best school districts! In the family’s spare time, they enjoy traveling to their vacation home in Alabama where they enjoy bonfires in the backyard, roasting marshmallows, and hot dogs.

The family receives a lot of support through biological family members. The family enjoys get togethers on “Fun Friday” where they order pizza and play board games. The Lauderdale family also lives 15 minutes away from one of the best children’s hospitals in all 50 states! Marissa is trauma informed. She has had many years of experience working with special needs children dealing with PTSD, ADD, ADHD, sexual abuse, and drug addicted babies. The Lauderdale family is looking forward to adding on to their family!

Marissa is willing to consider any number of children, male or female, all races, between the ages of 0-14 years old with any of the following special needs: 

ADD, ADHD, Adjustment Disorder, AIDS/HIV, Anxiety Disorder, Asthma, Attachment Disorder, Autism, Bipolar, Blind, Cerebral Palsy- all levels, Deaf, Depression, Developmental Delays, Diabetes, Down Syndrome, Drug Exposed, Eating Disorders, Emotional/Mild & Moderate, Epilepsy, Failure to Thrive, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Heart Murmur, Hydrocephalic, Hyperactivity, Learning Disability, Legal Risk, Mental Retardation- all levels, Microcephalic, Missing Limbs, Mood Disorder, Nonverbal, OCD/ODD, Paralysis, Physically Abused, PTSD, Quadriplegia, RAD, Scoliosis, Seizures, Sexually Abused, Shaken Baby Syndrome, Sickle Cell, Spina Bifida, Terminal Illness, Total Care, Tourette Syndrome, Trach, and Tube Fed.
