The Maddux-Alves Family
Kathryn, Jacinta, and So’riah reside in Hyattsville, Maryland and have lived there for almost 10 years. Kathryn and Jacinta have been in a domestic partnership since 2006 and together they are co-parenting So’riah, keeping her Monday-Friday and having her go to her birth parents on the weekends. The family fostered two children for the majority of 2022, and So’riah loved being an older role model for the younger children. They also have a sweet hound dog that is 13 years old.
The Maddux-Alves family enjoys outdoor activities such as biking, kayaking, playing basketball, and going on family walks with the dog. They love travel and enjoy a yearly vacation to Florida to visit Kathryn’s family. Their support network consists of local friends who have children around So’riah’s ago who are ready to welcome a forever family member in with open arms. They are ready to provide a lifelong commitment full of affection, encouragement, and laughter, and are open to maintaining birth family relationships.
Kathryn and Jacinta are willing to consider 1-2 children, male or female, any race, between the ages of 0-8 years old with any of the following special needs:
ADD, ADHD, Anxiety Disorder, Asthma, Depression, Emotional/Moderate, Heart Murmur, Learning Disability, and Physically Abused.
